Our History
We Are Engineering Business with over 30 years of experience
Pacific Western Engineering Contractors, Inc. was founded in 1991, formerly named
Pacific Western Contractors, by Mike Molinaro and his father. Prior to forming Pacific
Western Contractors, they were in the business of buying & re-selling distressed
properties. They specialized in properties with foundation problems and worked with
various Geotechnical & structural engineers to develop foundation underpinning & re-
leveling systems to permanently repair the homes for re-sale. Seeing the need for quality
and innovative foundation repair in Southern California they took the expertise they
learned working on their own properties and started providing foundation repair services
to the public, hence the business was born. Over the last 30-plus years they have
successfully repaired almost every type of foundation, hillside, and soil related problem,
while developing specialized equipment, products, and procedures to implement in the
vast projects they perform.
THE WORK WE DO
The typical project consists of repairing properties that are distressed due to underlying soil and foundation conditions such as slope creep, slope failures, landslides, differential settlement, expansive soils, defective foundations, drainage, and water intrusion issues. Pacific Western Engineering Contractors, Inc. has extensive experience in most of the construction procedures utilized to mitigate these problems and has successfully completed thousands of remedial projects throughout Southern California providing the following services:

Pacific Western Engineering Contractors, Inc. and its employees will always treat the clients, engineers, neighbors, fellow contractors and building inspectors with respect and courtesy. Mike Molinaro, the owner of Pacific Western Engineering Contractors, Inc. will personally run every project from the initial site evaluation through the completion of the project. This personalized customer-centered project approach is validated by past clients and the engineering community referring almost all Pacific Western Engineering Contractors, Inc. new customers.
WHERE WE WORK
Pacific Western Engineering Contractors, Inc.’s primary work area is in Orange County, CA and its surrounding areas. Since the work we perform is specialized we believe it is important to have a working experience with the regional geology and soil types along with strong relationships with the local building departments, engineers, geologists, suppliers, and subcontractors. The philosophy of staying within our work area assures quality control and gives the projects and our clients the care and service they deserve.
